SALT LAKE CITY, June 25, 2010—Richter7, a Salt Lake City-based advertising and public relations agency, received eight silver awards at this year’s national ADDY Awards competition—the most any Utah ad agency has ever received in one year at the national level.
The winning ad campaigns consist of print and TV for Utah’s Hogle Zoo, point-of-purchase print ads for Wood Revival Desk Co. and print posters for the Utah Healthy Marriage Initiative.
“Our goal is to create work that achieves our clients’ marketing objectives,” said Dave Newbold, Richter7 president and executive creative director. “The best way we know how to do this is to stop people long enough to get them to understand and, hopefully act. Awards—especially national awards—like this are a good indication of an ad campaign’s stopping power.”
With over 60,000 entries annually, the ADDY Awards are the world’s largest and arguably most difficult advertising competition. Concurrently across the country, local entrants vie for recognition as the very best in their markets. Local winners compete against other winners in one of 14 district competitions. District winners are then forwarded to the national ADDY Awards competition.
“Industry experts say award-winning advertising is four to five times more likely to accomplish sales and awareness goals,” Newbold said. “We’ve always felt that increasing our clients’ sales is key. Infusing ads with creativity is a powerful way to build sales.”
Established in 1971, Richter7 has been named Utah’s “Best of State” advertising agency for seven of the last eight years and is consistently recognized for effective advertising, design and interactive work and public relations for local, regional and national clients.
